Day 10 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Do you feel good today? That's good for you, then let us pray to Allah SWT that others are feeling good too for themselves.

hadith, prophet mohammed, islam, praying for others

Praying for Others

Today new task is to pray for others. Normally, one prays for one's own needs and desires, but one should also pray for one's relatives, friends and Muslims in general as it is an act of great merit. There is a hadith which says that when a Muslim prays for anyone of his brothers in faith in the latter's absence angels pray for the same for him. (Sahih Muslim). So, if you come to know that any other Muslim is in trouble or need, pray for him. In fact one should pray for the unbelievers too so that Allah SWT may guided them to the path of Islam, InsyaaAllah.

Good Intention (Niyyah)

Today new task is to correct our intention in every action that we performed daily. From the Islam point of view, niyyah means “Decision to fulfill a duty to obey Allah’s commands and seek His consent only.”. Day 8 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Glory and Praise be to Allah the Almighty. How's your life today? Do you feel sad? If yes, please watch short Youtube video below about La Tahzan (Do not be Sad!) to energize your day:

Seeking forgiveness from Allah Almighty

Today new task is to seek forgiveness from Allah SWT on a daily basis. We all make mistakes everyday whether we realized it or not. Prophet Muhammad SAW said, “The children of Adam are all profuse wrongdoers, but the best of the profuse wrongdoers are those who repent” (Tirmidhi). He also said, “Whoever seeks Allah’s pardon, Allah makes for him a way out of all tight corners, removes all his worries, and grants him sustenance from sources he had never imagined” (Abu Dawud). We can start by repeating the Arabic words astaghfirullah, meaning "I seek forgiveness from Allah" ten times (10X) after salah prayer. You can also istighfar at any times when you remember in a day.

Today Quran recitation: (2 ayah/day at minimum)

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they know [it] not.

2:14
And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers."

Day 7 Muslim Tasks

As Salam. Glory and Praise be to Allah the Almighty. How's is your Iman today? Keep doing whatever good deeds you have been working on lately. Today new task is quite simple but require a lot of determination to do it.

As-salamu alaykum

As-salam alaykum (السلام عليكم) is an Arabic greeting often used by Muslims around the world. It nearly translates to "peace be upon you", but is often considered the equivalent to "hello" or "good day" in English. The standard response to the greeting is Wa alaykumu s-salam. A more formal reply, "wa `alaykumu s-salāmu wa rahmatu l-lāhi wa barakātuh," meaning "may peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you," may be used to be more courteous, as the Qur'an commands, in Sura 4, verse 86:
"When a greeting is offered, you answer it with an even better greeting, or (at least) with its like. Allah keeps account of all things."

Giving Salam is a Sunnah. Your task is to give Salam when you meet other Muslim brothers around you. Give Salam also when you want to leave them.

Today Quran recitation: (2 ayah/day at minimum)

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

2:11
And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers."

2:12
Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not.

Day 5 Muslim Tasks

As Salam. How's is your Iman today? Keep working on improving our Iman because that is the main purpose of our life, that is to serve Allah SWT. It is okay if yesterday we have not fulfill our daily target, but make sure that today we doubled our effort to top up yesterday progress. Find your strength through observing or watching people that is more pious than us, or you can watch Islamic motivational videos from Youtube as below:

Ayat al-Kursi

Abu Huraira narrated that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Everything has its splendor, and the splendor of the Qur’an is Surah al-Baqara. In it is a verse which is the greatest verse of the Qur’an: Ayat al-Kursi.” [Tirmidhi]

So, today task that we should include to our existing daily tasks is to recite Ayat al-Kursi after every fardh prayer. It is said that if we recite this ayat after fardh salah, then only death is keeping us from entering Jannah! Meaning, one can have an easier time attaining Jannah with this simple act of ibadah alone. Try to memorize one by watching below video of different recitation of ayat Kursi by popular Qaris.
