Day 26 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum.Wish you have a blessed weekend. Do you know that the Prophet Muhammad SAW said: “In the morning charity is due for every bone in the body of every one of you. Every utterance of Allah's glorification is an act of charity. Every utterance of praise of Him is an act of charity, every utterance of profession of His Oneness is an act of charity, every utterance of profession of His Greatness is an act of charity, enjoining good is an act of charity, forbidding what is evil is an act of charity, and two Rak’as which one prays in the forenoon will suffice.” [Reported by Muslim]

Today new task is to perform Duha prayer because Salat al-Duha is a Sunnah Mu’akkada which means that it is an emphasized or recommended sunnah. Abu Hurayra (by Ahmed in his musnad) narrated “My beloved instructed me never to leave three things until I die: fasting three days a month, praying Salat al-Witr before sleep, and praying 2 rak’ats of Salat al-Duha, which is Salat al-Awwabin.” The preferred time for it begins after one-quarter of the day has passed.

2:49
And [recall] when We saved your forefathers from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with the worst torment, slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.

2:50
And [recall] when We parted the sea for you and saved you and drowned the people of Pharaoh while you were looking on.

Day 25 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. May today be a day where we renew our intention to make good deeds in order to get Allah's blessing. I found the following infographic about the 6 Good Deeds to Paradise that I would like to share together with you.

Today new task is to be truthful when you speak because it is part of a Muslim's faith to speak the truth and to say things that bring about benefit to others. When we have nothing beneficial to say, silence is golden. Allah says: “O you who believe! Fear Allah and speak a word that is right. He will set right for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great achievement.” [ Sûrah al-Ahzâb : 70-71]

O Children of Israel, remember My favor that I have bestowed upon you and that I preferred you over the worlds.

Day 24 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. How do feel today? Do you know that there is an easy way to feel happy in this world? The secret is to forgive other people who have wronged you!

Today new task is to forgive other people because when you forgive, your heart begins to heal, your back straightens up, your eyes clear so that you can see the road ahead. Anger is a spiritual sickness; but when you forgive you live. It doesn’t matter if the other person deserves forgiveness. Forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself.

“Hold to forgiveness, command what is right, and turn away from the ignorant.” (Qur’an, 7: 199)

Day 23 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Yesterday, I learned from one Islamic scholar which said that our time in this world is limited, so use it wisely to perform good deeds. He also said that wise man will follow the path of Muhammad SAW (Sunnah) in order to get blessings from Allah SWT.

Today new task is to learn and apply a Sunnah of Muhammad because Prophet SAW say "If you love Allah, follow me. Allah will love you and forgive your sins; for Allah is oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." Qur'an 3,31. The sunnah of Muhammad includes his specific words, habits, practices, and silent approvals. To learn beautiful Sunnah's of Rasulullah daily, read the following slide:

http://www.slideshare.net/kingabid/beautiful-sunnahs-of-rasulallah-saw-to-do-everyday

For today, we can start (if none) to brush our teeth with siwak (miswak) because the Prophet said, "It (i.e. Siwak) is a purification for the mouth and it is a way of seeking the acceptance of God.".

Today Quran recitation: (2 ayah/day at minimum)

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].
2:44
Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason?

Day 22 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. How are you doing today? Let us pray to Allah SWT so that our deeds today is better than yesterday, not less or so. Do you know that by learning Hadith continuously we can also increase our deeds and increase our Iman?

Today new task is to learn one Hadith a day because Islam is the religion of knowledge, especially such knowledge as is related to the understanding of Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) held that seeking knowledge was incumbent on every Muslim. According to a Hadith narrated by Ibn Abbas, the Messenger of Allah said "For those who go on a quest for knowledge, Allah will smooth the path to Paradise."

To learn one Hadith a day, visit and subscribe to the following site:

2:42
And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it].

Day 21 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. May Allah SWT forgive us for our past sins and for the days to come. Did you know that there is one simple but hard to do task which we can implement in order to feel the sweetness of Iman?

Today new task is to lower your gaze because lowering one’s gaze is one of the most important things that a Muslim should do to protect himself from the punishment of Allah. Every sincere Muslim should spare no pains in this regard and should take practical steps to guard his gaze and overcome his weakness. Read twenty tips for lowering the gaze by Sheikh Muhammad Saleh Al-Munajjid.

Day 20 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. How are you doing today? Do you feel sufficient today? If yes, you should thank Allah SWT for giving us so many favours (blessings) that we are not able to count them all. He provides us with good health, and intellect with which to think; eyes with which to see; ears with which to hear. He also supplies us with food and drink. It is through His favour that we may be healed when we are ill. We should always feel thankful for the blessings of Allah and praise and thank Him.

Our Prophet said: "Whoever is satisfied with food and drink and praises Allah for His blessings, Allah will certainly reward him for his thanks as surely as He gives the fasting man a reward for his fasting, because Allah appreciates the good deeds of His servants and He loves them to show their gratitude."

Today new task is to say thanks to Allah for everything because to give thanks to Allah for His blessings is itself a Blessing which is bestowed upon a believer only. A believer will thank Allah for everything and in every situation, so thanking Allah will become a blessing itself. Let’s Say Alhamdulillah in every situation. InshaAllah.

Today Quran recitation: (2 ayah/day at minimum)

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

2:37
Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

2:38We said, "Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

Day 19 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Do you know that there is a simple way to get 2,500 good deeds per day? Our Prophet SAW said: 'There are two qualities, no Muslim man acquires them but he will enter Paradise, and they are simple and easy. He should glorify Allaah (say Subhaan Allaah) ten times immediately after each prayer, and praise Him (say Al-hamdu Lillaah) ten times and magnify Him (say Allaahu akbar) ten times.

' I saw the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) counting this on his fingers. He said: 'That makes one hundred and fifty on the tongue, and one thousand five hundred (hasanaat) in the scales. Each of three phrases repeated ten times makes thirty; multiplied by the number of daily prayers, which is five, makes one hundred and fifty. Each of these good deeds of the tongue will be rewarded with ten hasanaat which will be added to the total of good deeds to be weighed in the balance or scales on the Day of Judgement.

When you go to bed, glorify Him and praise Him and magnify Him one hundred times: (33 times Subhaan Allaah, 33 times Al-hamdu Lillaah, 34 times Allaahu Akbar) that will be one hundred on the tongue and a thousand in the scales.

Today new task is to say 33 times Subhaan Allaah, 33 times Al-hamdu Lillaah, 34 times Allaahu Akbar after salaah and before go to sleep because Allah's messenger (SAW) said: "Is anyone of you incapable of earning 1000 Hasanah (rewards) in a day?" Someone from his gathering asked, "how can anyone of us earn 1000 Hasanah?" He (SAW) said "Glorify Allah 100 times & 1000 Hasanah will be written for you, or 1000 sins will be wiped away". Saying "SubhanAllah" x100 is enough to get 1000 good deeds written, or 1000 sins wiped out (Sahih Muslim 4/2073).

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."

Day 18 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Happy Awal Muharram 1435H. May your every day of this new year be a great one.

Today new task is beginning from the right because Prophet SAW used to like to start with the right side when putting on his sandals, combing his hair, engaging in his ritual purification, and in all of his activities.

'The Prophet used to like to start with the right side …' (Sahih Muslim)

Starting with the right side has two meanings. When there are activities that involve both sides of the body, it means to start with the right side of the body (hands and feet). This is the case when it comes to such activities as washing the hands and putting on shoes. When the activity relates to coming in contact with something, it means to use the right hand instead of the left, as is the case with giving and taking.

Today Quran recitation: (2 ayah/day at minimum)

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

2:33
He said, "O Adam, inform them of their names." And when he had informed them of their names, He said, "Did I not tell you that I know the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth? And I know what you reveal and what you have concealed."

2:34
And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.

Day 17 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Jumma Mubarak. May Allah SWT blessed us today and accept our previous deeds.

Today new task is to Respect for your Neighbours because Allah informed us that neighbours are important segments in the society. Without having good neighbours, people will have a difficult and a miserable life. Accordingly Allah (swt) informed us to look after the neighbours, to take care of them, to keep good relations and to make sure that we have good neighbours. In taking care of neighbours, Allah SWT associated them with categories of parents, relatives, orphans, poor and needy. In Surah An-Nisa' (The Women) Allah says:

"Serve God, and join not any partners with Him; and do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, those in need, neighbours who are near, neighbours who are strangers, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet), and what your right hands posses: for God loves not the arrogant, the vainglorious."  [4:36]

2:32
They said, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise."

Day 16 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Do you feel jealous or sad when seeing other Muslim brothers live happily than you? Then beware! Every Muslim is obliged to love for his brother what he loves for himself of good things, and to hate for his brother what he hates for himself of bad things. This does not mean that he cannot like for himself what he likes for others. If he sees that his brother has something that he does not, and he wishes that he had it too, this is ghibtah (envy that is free from malice); if he wishes that the blessing would be taken away from them, this is called hasad (destructive jealousy).

Today new task is to overcome jealousy because jealousy is a disease of the heart. In order to overcome jealousy, first of all, we must remember that it is Haram and it displeases Allah. A jealous person is a sick person and he/she must try to get rid of this sickness. One action that helps overcome jealousy is that if you feel jealous of some person, try to do good to that person, especially in the matter in which you feel jealous of him. For example if you feel jealous of a person’s good reputation, try to praise him more. If your jealousy tells you to harm some person or to wish him/her bad things, try to do good, show more kindness, give some gifts and try to make that person happy. It is not easy, but do this to please Allah. You will avoid a sin and at the same time make your heart healthy and happy.

Today Quran recitation: (2 ayah/day at minimum)

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

2:29

It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth. Then He directed Himself to the heaven, [His being above all creation], and made them seven heavens, and He is Knowing of all things.

2:30
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."

Day 15 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Do you have any difficulties lately? Will you be glad if other Muslims care to help you in solving or reducing your problems?

Today new task is to help others because doing service for humanity is one of the greatest ways we can show our devotion to Allah. Allah likes it so much when we help others that He forgives us our sins for something as simple as moving some thorns out of the path where people walk. Abû Hurayrah quotes the Prophet SAW as saying: “A man was going on his way when he saw brambles in the path. He moved these out of the way. Allah so esteemed his virtuous act that He granted him forgiveness." [Sahih Muslim]

Allah SWT grants His forgiveness to those who sacrifice of themselves to help the victims of misfortune. Allah does not only grant forgiveness for those who engage in such virtuous deeds, but in His infinite mercy, he makes their account easy on the Day of Judgment.

Who break the covenant of Allah after contracting it and sever that which Allah has ordered to be joined and cause corruption on earth. It is those who are the losers.

2:28
How can you disbelieve in Allah when you were lifeless and He brought you to life; then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you [back] to life, and then to Him you will be returned.

Day 14 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Hope your day today is full with happiness and smiling. Today new task is to keep smiling because it is Sunnah.

According to Islam, smiling is charity. If you are unable to give charity with money and materials then you should simply smile. Prophet Muhammad SAW reported to have said: "There is no person who does not have the obligation of (doing) charity every day that the sun rises." And he added: "And your smiling in the face of your brother is charity, your removing of stones and thorns from people's paths is charity, and your guiding a man gone astray in the world is charity for you."

Today Quran recitation: (2 ayah/day at minimum)

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

2:25
And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally.

2:26
Sahih International
Indeed, Allah is not timid to present an example - that of a mosquito or what is smaller than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did Allah intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient,

Day 13 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. How are you today? May Allah SWT accept our sacrifice during this month. Love is among the most exalted of human feelings. When this love revolves around Almighty Allah and forms the basis for our interpersonal relationships, many problems can be weathered and great fruits can be harvested for both the individual and society as a whole. The Qur’an and Sunnah often speak about the noble status of those whom Allah graces to possess such love.

To Love for the Sake of Allah SWT

Today new task is to renew our love to someone  for the sake of Allah. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Prophet SAW said, Allah will ask on the Day of Judgment: “Where are those who loved each other for the sake of My glory? Today, on a day when there is no shade but Mine, I shall shade them with My shade.” (Muslim)

"To love for the sake of Allah" means loving someone, not for any worldly gain, but because he/she is more religious and pious or he/she is very learned in Islam knowledge or is busy in serving other people because it is commanded by Allah, e.g. one's parents.

Today Quran recitation: (2 ayah/day at minimum)

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

2:23
And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah , if you should be truthful.

2:24
But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.

Day 12 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Happy Eid. May Allah SWT accept our deeds for today. Do you know why Muslims perform Pilgrimage (Hajj)? Then try to understand their purpose by watching the following video.

Optimism and Hope from Allah

Today new task is to be optimistic towards Allah SWTBesides fear of Allah, we must be expecting good from Him. Abu Hurairah has quoted our Prophet SAW saying, “Hoping for good is also an act of worship of Allah.” (Tirmidhi and Hakim)

In a hadith, our blessed Prophet has quoted the Divine words, “I am what my bondsman thinks of Me, and where he remembers Me, there I am with him.” (Bukhari and Muslim). The right way is to try to improve ourselves and to balance Allah's fear and good hopes from Him.

Day 11 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Happy good weekend. Hope you are doing well this week. If you are not feeling good because someone else is ruining your mood or something is not happening for you, then be patience!

Be Patience

Today new task is to be patience. Productive Muslim wrote, sometimes in life, hardships befall us. It sometimes feels like difficulties add up on one another and the light at the end of the tunnel, is merely a mirage. So how do we maintain our productivity during times of tribulation? As Muslims, we should know that they are part of our life in the dunya and we should be prepared to behave in the best way in such times. Allah SWT has been exceptionally merciful as to provide us with tips to remain steadfast in times of trial:

“And seek help in patience and As-Salah and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for humbly submissive [to Allah]”[Quran chapter 2, Verse 45].

2:20
The lightning almost snatches away their sight. Every time it lights [the way] for them, they walk therein; but when darkness comes over them, they stand [still]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

Day 10 Muslim Tasks

As-salam alaykum. Do you feel good today? That's good for you, then let us pray to Allah SWT that others are feeling good too for themselves.

hadith, prophet mohammed, islam, praying for others

Praying for Others

Today new task is to pray for others. Normally, one prays for one's own needs and desires, but one should also pray for one's relatives, friends and Muslims in general as it is an act of great merit. There is a hadith which says that when a Muslim prays for anyone of his brothers in faith in the latter's absence angels pray for the same for him. (Sahih Muslim). So, if you come to know that any other Muslim is in trouble or need, pray for him. In fact one should pray for the unbelievers too so that Allah SWT may guided them to the path of Islam, InsyaaAllah.
